Rexall Sundown posts second quarter results

Rexall Sundown Inc. (Nasdaq: RXSD) in Boca Raton, the world's largest vitamin and nutritional supplement maker, announced its second quarter results this week ­ a sales increase of 27 percent and an earnings increase of 12 percent over the same period last year. Net sales for the period were $176.3 million. Earnings a share of 26 cents increased from 23 cents, primarily attributable to the positive effect of its share repurchase program, the company said in a release.
